People involved in the production and distribution of medicines are among ‘key workers’ who are ‘critical to the Coronavirus response’ and whose children will qualify for ongoing school care, the Government has confirmed.

“Along with so many others, our members are doing whatever they can to help communities cope with this pandemic and its extraordinary global impact.
“We welcome the Government’s decision to include producers and distributors of medicines in the ‘key worker’ category, which will bolster efforts to maintain the supply of over-the-counter medicines that are so important to so many at this time.”
